Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her professional career playing the piano and singing at church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship at the heart of Atlanta's R&B scene. First song featuring her voice was called Stalk You A Japanese-influenced house 12 song. Since then, it was remixed and has become an element of her set. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005she took on the role of the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
