April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States, is among a select category of females who have won medals in more than one Olympics. In Tokyo over the next several days she will attempt to win her third gold medal with fellow first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross is also hoping to win her first Olympic medal. At 39, this could be her last opportunity to claim an Olympic gold. Nevertheless she is confident that the top awards are at hand. If we do our top or play well I feel like we'll win the gold medal Ross stated on NBC Boston. Then I will also take the opportunity to try my luck. Ross was born in the city of Costa Mesa, California in the year 1982. Her parents and sister lived in the area. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of activities while at Newport Harbor High School. In her time as a college athlete she was also a participant in indoor track and volleyball. However, she was a standout at this level. According to her biography, she was an outside blocker as well as a middle hitting volleyball player during her high-school career. She was named by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. Also, in 2000 she was named Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their roles since the year 2017. However, Ross was a major player in the world of beach volleyball before joining the duo. It's true that she's won multiple big tournaments and one of them was a renowned volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 until the year 2013. She also worked with Klineman as well as herself. Together with Kessy Ross was an ace on the international stage, claiming a world title in 2009. The duo eventually captured an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team which won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, beat each other to take home the gold. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor when she retired. They both won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics in the year the year 2016. Ross was a college athlete at USC Trojans prior to beginning the start of her professional career. She played during high school, and even some years before she hit the beach as a professional. Ross's time in the Trojans was impressive. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year accolades. She also earned an All-American. The Trojans could also reach the Final Four with her help. She was devastated through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore year. However, she managed to become an All-American in her second year. In her last two seasons with the Trojans program, she coached the Trojans to winning a national title each year. In 2003-2004, she was named the top female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in the United States through The Honda Sports Award. Ross was who was a USC international relations student was a volleyball star. Margie Ross was not able to see Ross become the highest beach volleyball levels. As of 2001, when Ross was in her sophomore year in USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. Her mother is still very dearly. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, continues to inspire her.
