Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. she is currently president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native was raised with an impressive background. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who was later a part owner of the Lakers along with various other sports organizations. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 She began feeling in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. At 19 years old, she began working for the family business as the director of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. She then founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President for the Lakers. Buss and her siblings, five sisters and brothers, as well as their father, who owned the Lakers and controlled them until his death in 2013, inherited this ownership through an estate. The five siblings had equally vote rights. She assumed the office as head of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
